I Preceive Through Me

                 Hello! The other night I had a dream that the first generation Pokemon games came to the Switch 2, most likely in the online subscription service. It wasn’t necessarily “Red/Blue/Yellow” because you had the options to make the game either look like it did in Red where the background was red and the characters and sprites were green/blue or the opposite in Blue or change it to be more colorful like Yellow or a few other color combinations. It was a pretty sick dream. A day or two after, Kit and Krista talked on their podcast that if Pokemon was going to re-release Red/Blue/Yellow that this was the year to do it and if they don’t then it will probably never happen, it being Red and Blue’s 30 th anniversary this year.   I know this is a horrible thing as a fan, consumer and frankly as a human being to say but I’m genuinely just looking forward to the next arcade/portable/spin-off Monster Hunter game. You can keep your fancy graphics and muted environments, I’ll gladly take the smooth gameplay and vibrant zones. I’ve been playing SunRise again and it is just leaps and bounds more enjoyable than Wilds for me. I probably will still get the Wilds G-rank expansion game and maybe it’ll be better, Rise was kind of just okay and then Sunbreak came and just made everything so much better. I’m gonna be super pissed if they actually put in some of my boys I’ve been crying and bitching about in the Wilds expansion though.                  Hello! I’m mostly here to complain! Yayyyyy! Mostly about Metroid Prime 4 and Silksong. I’m want to touch on achievements/”trophies” (I like achievements better) and a cute little game I bought called Shooters Ready.             I kind of expect more out of achievements and trophies now-a-days. I feel like it’s probably a “me” thing, just like game series’ not growing with us; Pokemon for example. We tend to complain that Pokemon games feel easier then the early days and whether that’s true or not is hard to say but at the end of the day those games are made for children, not for the people who started with it and continue to play. It would be nice if Pokemon grew as we grew but it just hasn’t and probably won’t. Anyway, achievements.
