Slave to the Grind

Hello again! I’ve been playing a little of Space Marine 2 again and it’s fun but kind of repetitive. Capcom had a Monster Hunter showcase recently so there’s some things to talk about there. I don’t know how to do openings anymore… go to the next paragraph.             I think I’m seeing Space Marine 2 and Monster Hunter to be similar. They give a lot of busy work to do. In Sunbreak we have the qurious and anomaly grind, in Wilds we have the artian weapon grind and in Space Marine 2 we’ve got prestige and lots of weapons to level up. I just find this busy work to be lazy typically. In Helldivers 2 I can play on the hardest difficulty with my friends wearing pretty much whatever armor I want with whatever weapons and stratagems. Sometimes, with certain major orders, we would be better off wearing certain armor or using certain stratagems but overall it’s usua...

Valkyria Chronicles, Metroid Prime 4

Hello! I don’t really want to be writing this because I have so many games to play and some actual motivation to do it but I just wanted to get this out there. While I was waiting for Metroid Prime 4 I was looking at my games that I haven’t finished and came across Valkyria Chronicles 4.             Before I get into that I’ll talk a little about what I have played of Metroid so far. I’m glad that motion controls are a thing, like the Wii, but I don’t understand why no one could tell me if the game had these controls before it came out. All they talked about in the trailers was normal controls, using a Joy-Con like a mouse and having motion if you held ZL. I asked YouTubers that went to events, commented on videos but no one could just tell me that Wii motion controls were a thing. It’s nice that I don’t have to worry about a sensor bar when using these controls; I can have my legs crossed and the controller in my lap and s...

Helldivers 2 Wish List

Image
Hello! I wanted to talk about Helldivers 2 today. I’ve been seeing some videos from OhDough on YouTube and I think he has a lot of good points. People on Reddit and such will say that he’s just negative and whatever but criticism is good. Glazing games, movies, franchises doesn’t do us any good. I mean if something was truly perfect that would be amazing but there’s always something that could be better and when it comes to live service games it can be the difference of the game thriving or dying.             In his videos, OhDough goes in depth looking at weapon damage, enemy armor, changes in patches, all kinds of crap that I will never notice and I appreciate him and other people that do it, in any and all games. One thing he talks about a lot is fun VS the grunt fantasy. Helldivers 2 is billed as a grunt fantasy like Starship Troopers in that you are a weak human against impossible odds. You are not supposed to be a sup...
